Chenoweth’s Story

In 2014 a group of women, many of whom had never met each other, gathered and brainstormed ideas for a healing space in the west end.  Many deep friendships and West Louisville Women’s Collaborative grew out of that meeting.

Since then, through laughter, tears, hard work, and a shared dedication to the west end and each other, we have built a Peace Labyrinth, shared Faces and Voices of the west end, opened ELA House, and have showed up for each other in countless ways.

Every month, I help host WLWC Open Studios and have the opportunity to create art alongside folks of all different ages, paths and life stories.  I never know who will show up, and am always grateful for the time together.  Together we are creating and sustaining artistic, peaceful spaces.

My hope is for everyone to belong to a group like WLWC…if you don’t yet, I hope you’ll let us welcome you.
